Privacy Policy

Prank Sounds does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

Information we collect

None. The app does not ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information. We have no servers, and the app does not send any information anywhere.

Information stored on your device

So the app works the way you left it, a few things are saved locally in its own private storage on your phone:

• Which sounds you have marked as favourites
• Which sounds you played recently
• Your loop and vibration preferences
• Whether you have seen the welcome screen

That is the complete list. This information never leaves your device, we cannot see it, and it is removed when you clear it inside the app or uninstall the app. See Data Deletion.

Internet access

The app works entirely offline. All 109 sounds are installed with the app itself, so it does not need an internet connection to play anything, and it does not make network requests.

The microphone

Prank Sounds cannot record audio. The app plays sound and never listens. The audio library it is built on ships with a microphone permission by default; we explicitly strip that permission and the recording service out of the app before it is built, so the ability is not present in the installed app at all.

Permissions

The app requests only two permissions, both of which are needed for it to work:

• Vibration — the small buzz when a sound fires. You can switch this off in Settings.
• Modify audio settings — lets the app route playback correctly and lower other apps' audio while a sound plays.

No camera, no microphone, no location, no contacts, no storage access.

Sharing a sound

When you share a sound, the app copies that one audio file into a temporary folder and hands it to Android's own share sheet. You choose where it goes. We are not involved in that transfer and receive no copy of it. Android clears the temporary folder on its own.

Advertising

Prank Sounds contains no advertisements and no advertising SDKs.

Children's privacy

The app collects no data from anyone, including children. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing that could identify a child.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date above. If a future version of the app ever collected anything, we would say so here first.
